I ran the Savannah Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon on Saturday, Nov. 5. My girlfriend ran the full marathon. Since she wasn't up for doing a whole lot on Sunday, she agreed to let me go detecting a bit on Tybee Island. So, after 2.5 hours or so in the dry sand (I wasn't set up to get out in the surf and saw someone else out there swinging, so decided to stay high and dry), I ended up with a small handfull of modern change and one silver and mother-of-pearl cross! The cross and the necklace connecter are both marked .925. Just added to a great weekend!

PS. Green abalone. ;D

AKA - I guess you are saying that rather than Mother-of-pearl, it is green abalone? Cool and thanks!
