As some of you might remember I've decided to spend this winter tinkering with long handles for scoops.

I'm planning on shooting some ideas at y'all from time to time.

This is a company that make a variety of handles. I'm not the biggest fan of wood handles but, I'm thinking items 3160 and 3160G may have some applications as a long handled scoop. I would love to hear your thoughts.

I've also got another prototype coming from the welding shop after Christmas.

I see what you are thinking. Better grip on a bent handle end. The Sunspot type scoops have wooden handles and that really seems to be great, they float upright, strong and replaceable. Those wood handle type scoops are different than the solid stainless steel type that you lever out with all your weight. You push them in with your foot, like the other, but you just finess the handle back, and lift up straight, not lay back and pry it out then lift it at an angle back so it doesnt dump it load out. Those plow handles would be great. Lets see some pics of your scoops. I am always into innovation and experimenting. That is how things change for the good. Post some pics!

I use a Magnum scoop. Without any modification.

I can't figure out how to post a pic here.

Thanks for our input.

To post a pic, you need to down load it into a file, and possibly shrink it to fit the page, and get back on here, start a post, where you add text and go down to Add Images, and hit browse, and go to your pictures, find the pic, select it, hit open, and upload and it will be here. You can go back and modify a post, edit, and do the same thing.
