Still no gold :(

Got out this morning with hunting buddy Bob and we went a bit south. I took the Sovereign GT with the 10" coil and worked the waters edge. About an hour in with nothing but caps and clad I got a nice hit. only a couple inches deep and out pops a ring with stones. Lots of eyes on me so I stick it in my pocket without checking it out. about 30 more minutes and I get a whisper signal. WAY down deep and I finally pop out a big honkin band that is silver in color but shiny as new. Very heavy and immediately I think white gold or Platinum!! Stick it in my pocket quick again to avoid any drama. Now I've got 2 rings in my pocket and I'm smiling ear to ear. Work my way back and finally able to check them at the truck. Big band is Tungsten Carbide ::) Smaller ring is stamped 925. After getting home and cleaning I figure what the heck, I'll check the stones with my tester even though I have no expectations of anything. To my suprise they all test positive for diamonds!! Well, no gold yet, but I am happy to finally put a couple rings in my tally ;D

WTG on those rings. It is smart to never look at your find after you scoop it up as you said everyone was watching you. Remember you never find anything good. Refrain from doing the HAPPY DANCE till you get home.

Good find, some people wear silver rings with diamonds because they can't wear gold. gives them a rash.
