Got up this morning and after looking at the radar, almost didn't go... sure glad I did. I hit the cut on a fresh water lake I found a 43 quarter two weeks ago, hoping that it had more old coins there, what a day. Three firsts today, a 45 SL half, a 30 SL quarter and a 37 merc. Got a 52 nickel, wheats, 58, 57, 45 and 1916 along with a sterling religious medal on what I think is a Stainless chain. In addition, the smallest gold ring I've ever seen but it is gold, 1.0 grams of 10k.... lol.

This trip was the first real time out with the SOV GT and I think I like it. I could tell someone else had worked the cut over, not filling in the holes. Matter of fact, one of the first of his holes I found, I got a penny he had left or missed.

Not sure if I'll go back tomorrow cause the sand might be to frozen to dig in but I will hit that area again if we have a big storm to cut it up some more.

Impressive finds. The SL 1930 quarter is excellent. Most of those quarters have the date worn off. Congratulations!
