I'm self employed, a lot depends on my appointment schedule, location, and time.

1) Mostly water & wet sand.
2) All year.
3) Whatever it takes.
4) Rarely.
5) All times but prefer the height of activity. Things are constantly changing on the beach and I like to stay up to date on all those changes. This also allows me to meet a lot of local beach people, condo people, beach patrol, lifeguards, venders, etc. which in return provides a lot of useful info and intel.
6) All weather.
7) Homemade & purchased scoops.
8) Down to two – Excal & CZ-21.
9) The beach is my office.
10) All the above plus the thrill of the hunt.
11) Save very little. Sell most, give some away, just depends.
12) About 25 years now.
13) Alone or with my usual partner.

Just got back into the hobby after doing as a boy in the 70's. Have much better equipment now.

Plan on doing it year round, got a detector last xmas from the family after asking and started playing with it immediately.

Just the excal right now, plan on buying an e-trac for land hunting in the fall.
