Any freshwater hunters in Central NY?

I'm planning on getting a Tesoro Tiger Shark ASAP to hunt freshwater areas. Just wondering if anyone detects in Central NY..like Binghamton, Elmira areas? I live in the Owego area

just be aware that you need a permit to detect most NY beaches supposedly - friend of mine
just got back from vacay in NY and he told me he saw many small fresh water spots - posted NO METAL DETECTING
a lot of places wont let you in season
