Todays finds at the beach!!!

Went out today and found a few items, 3 pennies, 1 bullet, 2 ear rings with diamonds. Found them in 4ft of water with my Tesoro Sandshark.

Is there anyway to tell by just looking or do you need an instrument of some kind to tell if its a real diamond? I have found a similar jewelery for the Ear with a big "diamond" and also a 18k goldring (wooohooo my first GOLD!!) with small "diamonds" that i want to know if they are real. By the size of the stone in the earring i doubt its real but maybe in the ring.

One way is to breath on them, if they mist over for a few seconds they are diamonds. (this only really works on larger ones)
Also, if you hold the diamond over newspaper and can read the print through it, then it's a diamond.
I'm sure there are better ways that others will, hopefully, inform you of.
