I found a Heart Ring
Went to the beach this morning, not much dug up a heart ring,it sounded zip,zip to me,as I dug it up at first I thought it was a washer, until I started cleaning the sand off it so encrusted,I could see the hearts on it,once again so excited..
When I got home I boiled the ring with baking soda in a pot thinking the encrusted sand would come off,not much came off
Any advice on trying to clean my heart ring, don't know if its junk or silver b/c its stuck with sand , Had 3 hours of beach fun

Kiana, you had a good hunt.
The ring has a very pretty design, but I think ( could be wrong on this) that the metallic content may be copper.
I'm quite sure that electrolysis would get the crusting off.

Kiana. Looks GOOD! I'd say it's definitely "ring case" worthy!
Regards, Joe (California)
