With tropical storm Sandy approaching.......peak wave hieghts are forcasted for Friday night with high winds. Going to try to get there when wave hieghts are highest and follow the tide out. C'mon mother nature.....make it happen.

Are the beaches cutting yet? I am planning a 10 hr drive from NC, so can anyone provide me with some good intell.

Just looked at it here on the treasure coast as it got dark. There was plentyof wind and waves but no dramatic parallel cuts yet but plenty of big ravine type washouts perpendicular to the beach. I live a couple hundred yards from the beach but low tide isnt till 3pm.

I am going to hang around N.C. and Va. beaches if I can get free. We should get the erosion we want here. Just got to watch where it does its worst at.
