Old silver coin...been waitin' to find this one

Hi ,

Snow was predicted for late this afternoon ( it has now arrived)....so late morning I headed to the old beach again to see what else I missed form my previous hunt.

Yup, missed another "oldie" ; must be losing my touch to have missed this one last time ....I was hunting in the same spot..."bare bones" dry sand.


Going to have to get back there and keep searching ......love finding those old coins.

Here's a few pics....not much else..just a few coins and the usual pull tabs, etc.

Will try to clean the reverse a bit better; ? maybe this coin was near some iron?

I found a Barber quarter 1902 in similar shape due to salt water and agedness. HH Boris

Great find Lorraine. I tried dry sand at Walnut yesterday, and gave up after an hour with nothing but a little exercise.

I got lucky Bob....that's all.

Another big storm and you'll be picking up the old coins on top of the ground there.
