Rio Mar Beach Hunt

Went for a few hours down by the Rio Mar wreck today with the extra low tide and found some interesting pieces. Obviously some type of ship spike, maybe copper broken handle piece to a spoon/fork, a rounded something encrusted, what looks like either a bracelet or a jar ring maybe, and another encrusted heavy item.. How do I safely remove all the buildup. I tried apple cider vinegar in the past and it didn't work out so great. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

you could try electrolysis on that spike...the other item looks heavy..is it?

Yes it's pretty heavy....even the small piece is pretty heavy. The apple cider has taken the top layer of stuff off so far. I'll have to look into how to set up electrolysis. I don't want to chip away the brass spoon piece in case there's initials at the top. I'll update after I figure out and run electrolysis

the items will need to be given a "bath" to remove all saltwater if not they will deteriorate quickly. the best way to do this is to place them in your toilet bowel tank and leave them there for about a month. everytime you flush you are adding freshwater and removing saltwater/salt that has leached out of the items. cant tell much from your pics but the piece with the gold? sticking out might be a really good find. bracelet might be modern, does it stick to a magnet? is it marked .925?
resist the temptation to remove rust/clean the items quickly!

Turned out to be junk....the bracelet isn't metallic but also has no markings.everything else was trash. Goldfish looking thing was a gold fishing lure.. I'm not posting again till I find and KNOW that I actually found something worth while! Haha
