So I found this tiny ring today. It's stamped 925 K 3.5 with 3.5 being the size (yeah it's tiny). It looks like silver but more like plated. I though if it has 925 it's solid. Could it be a cheapo or was it once overlayed with gold or something. Looks more like it's dipped in silver. Any thoughts?

Nope. Doesn't stick to a magnet. It does look like copper undercoat.

I agree that it looks to be plated copper . I've found a couple of those in my hunts..mostly in medallions that I found.

It has a pretty style..must have been very nice when new.

Scrub the inside of the band with sandpaper. You will find out for sure if it's sterling or plated. If it's sterling, you won't have hurt anything.

Bejamble: the ring is most likely sterling silver which is the base with Gold plated over it.
It looks like the numbers before the K which identifies the fineness of Gold have been worn/purposely rubbed out.
I suspect from the picture of the flower that it might of been rose gold, which is an alloy of gold with copper for a warmer color.
