1st project was the toggle / PP modification, which is awesome and highly recommended for your excal and just successfully completed replacing the stock 10" coil with the same due to wire shielding cracking on a Older blue model 1000 that needed a little TLC.
Since the coil wire was removed from the unit I took the time to ad on some shrink tubing before reinstalling the new 10" stock coil. After the sedation wore off it woke right back up and was feeling young again. Think it's anxious for a water hunt!
Thanks to OBN's knowledge and advice I was able to pull this off!
A second huge thank you to an awesome T net member who offered up a donation coil as a replacement for my machine. May both of you have great golden karma sirs!
Thank you both again!

Nice job, and I second that...thx to OBN I just finished the PP/HP mod!!! A huge difference with the GGA's and a lot of fun with the PP switch.

Thanks Guys, And glad everyone enjoys there new setups, sure turns boring hunt into a turkey shoot. I have one more Mod coming this fall I believe that will be even bigger then the PP mod...swapping coils on the Excalibur. So far about 14 hours of fully submerged (saltwater / brackish water), all is perfect.

And very nice job on the coil change n PP mod.......... LIR...!!
And the same for Coastie, great job on the remote PP setup!!
You guys did Great!

Three years ago no one would even think about opening up there machine, but with the help of Youtube we have overcome the fear, Great job to all that took the leap.
Summer is here almost and time to dig some Treasure!! Good Luck to all and Be Safe....Joe
