While hunting in the surf yesterday a man asked for help finding his lost anchor. Did not take to long, bumped into it more than detected it.
The anchor had 20 feet of rope attached which I was well entangled in by the time I got it all up on the beach. This is the kind of water hazard I have always been concerned about and the reason I carry two knives to cut through anything like this. Also have the detector, scoop, and all other gear attached to a harness which can be dropped off by opening one buckle. You can buy another detector.

Congrats...I've brought up a few anchors while diving with the help of lift bags. It is when you get them near the top or shore that they get heavy. Good money in salvaged anchors.
