Day 1 with my 250

Well... I got my beach master scoop and headphones this morning and went for a walk on the beach with my 250. And here is my finds... A pile of bottle caps, a buckle, tent stake, zipper pull, bikini button, large washer and 81 cents in coins. That was a fun 3 hour walk. And I find it funny that all the caps are beer caps... No alcohol is allowed on the beach.

Thanks and no, I didn't get down that far. People started coming down early. Maybe tomorrow morning.

I hit the beach at 6am Many members like the late evening hours but my work gets me up early and i maintain that schedule on the weekends

I went back out after dinner to try the wet sand and shallow. Did the setup on the 250 as Uncle John and CrackBadger suggested... Jewelry mode with 4 to the left notched out at 4 sensitivity. I can't say it didn't false, there were no tones but the display was active at the left end. I tried a few shallow saltwater targets and got skunked. As I dug, the depth reading got deeper, made no sense. So I moved on to the wet sand... No luck there either. In either case the pin pointer was useless. I went back to the dry for a short stint, collected 2 more caps and 35 cents.

Ahhhh. To try again in the morning.
