Had another great trip up to San Simeon. Hunted the beach four days in a row all around the San Simeon Pier. There's a lot of history at this location from whaler's to all the ships that off loaded supplies to build Hearst Castle. You never know what your going to find along the cliff area especially after high tide and big surf. The WW1 Austin Co. Brass Military Coat Button was found right at the base of the cliff partially sticking out of the wall of the embankment. I thought it was an odd sized coin at first. The little silver heart with some delicate filigree work was also found in the same area. Both of the Silver rings, pocket knife and the square cut hand forged nail were found at low tide. I'd like to find out more about the nail if it's maybe a ship plank or deck nail? Sharing a few shots of the beach and finds...Good Luck Out There. Rich
