I found this ring a couple weeks ago and posted it on the ATX Forum at that time and wanted to post it here, but haven't had the time.

Hurricane Marie's high swells and waves hit the Southern California coast early September. About a week after the hurricane swells hit, between September 8-10th, we had higher than normal evening high tides (6.2). Even though the swells were receding at that time, the higher than normal evening high tides caused even more erosion.

I was on the beach at 4:30-AM and found an area of major erosion. It was non-stop scooping for three hours down to 16" (my cut-off depth scooping) until my arm couldn't scoop no more.

I found the ring when it was still dark and the diamonds were sparkling in the full moon moonlight. The weddings set is marked 14k on each ring and I have no doubt the diamonds are real.

You can see the cut in the beach in that photo. The beach at the top of that cut used to extend straight out another 40-50 feet.

Thanks for looking - HH

Hi detectahead,

It was dark when I found it and I find a lot of rings in the dark ... Although I did see the large diamond on the wedding ring sparkling with the full moonlight, but I didn't see the smaller diamonds or know the engagement ring was there at the time I found it.

I didn't get too excited at the time, because I find a lot of junk rings in the dark, and I just put it in my pocket.

My reaction when I got home and emptied my pocket was....Holy Sh*t!! And I couldn't believe it!!
I still don't know if it was made that way, or someone had it seamed together. Each ring has it's own 14k marked inside, so I will have it looked at by a jeweler.

Thank You for your comment!
