I think it's cool weather valuable or not! To think it was most likely on the treasure fleet ships that crashed....sad but awesome

Pretty cool! Seems to be in good shape, assuming here that it has been in the surf, or thereabouts, for that long. Just curious if you have found other items from that particular wreck in the past?

It is in rather good shape a couple of the edges are more worn than others I think maybe it was broken and uncovered just recently we had some larger surf.

They are cobs they're not cut from 8 reales.. Just pieces taken from an ingot cut to the proper weight and struck.
Salt water and the elements in the ocean are really tough on those most beach found cobs are very underweight from their original form

This was all found by Captain Eric Schmidt and crew just down the road from me
