Since moving here to St. Thomas a week ago I've be able to get out detecting twice. I plan on keeping a list on here of all my finds, not included on this list will be all the bottle caps and pull tabs, I have dug over 200 of them so far. However, I was able to dig two rings and a set of keys and some pocket change. One of the rings is stainless steel and the second ring I assume is junk due to it not being stamped. I am using an ATPRO and it seems to work quite well in the salt water and wet sand here, hopefully there are a few more rings to come!

Thanks for stopping by and HH to everyone.

Good Day Everyone,

Last night's hunt was my best hunt as far as ring count goes. 4 rings in 2.5 hours. Last night the water was VERY calm, like 2-3 inch waves, haha. I was out wading on my toes. I forgot my headlamp, but thank God for providing a very bright full moon. First ring was the GIANT stainless spinner ring. It's not stamped, so I'm only assuming it is stainless. Next came the little silver ring, then the junker. I was about to call it a night, (that's when it always happens) and BEEP!!. Out pops a female class ring. 6.4 grams of 10k! I am going to try and get in contact with the owner.

Headed to the water now, wish me luck this and happy hunting to everyone.

Cheers

Good Morning Everyone,

During last night's hunt, I scored a pretty cool silver ring. It's in pretty nice shape, could have just been lost. The pictures are from after I cleaned it.

HH and good luck out there.

Nice finds.

Hunting in the water at night would freak me out. Even during the day if something touches or bumps me I jump. I had a large black trash bag wrap around my leg one day and I thought it was a shark attacking me. People around me started to run and scream because I was freaking out.

Haha, I would have had a heart attack if that happened to me. So far all I have seen in the water here (knocks on wood) has been snook, mullet and big tarpon. The tarpon made me nervous the first time I saw them cause I didn't know what kind of BIG fish was approaching me. After I figured out it was just tarpon, I calmed down. The clear water makes me feel more comfortable because I can see very well, especially when the moon is full. If it was murky and I couldn't see the bottom, I would not be out there.

It's the ones you never see that scare me out of hunting on the water at night!

Hello Everyone,

I was able to get a short two hour hunt in this evening after dark. With the water being so calm this week and what looks like for the next 8 days, I am going to try and get out and enjoy this calm weather.

So, on to my finds. I found the usual clad, over a dozen pull tabs AND 1 men's 10k gold band with some sort of ice. Weighs in at 6.0 grams. Not sure if the diamonds are real or not. I'll get them tested tomorrow.

Also, a friend stopped by to check out my Stealth Scoop. I think he liked it. And just for scale, it's a 920 Stealth!

Until next time, Happy Hunting and Good Luck.
