I ordered the Stealth a few days ago from Sunspot. I am waiting now for it to ship. I have been using a Kellyco 6 inch two piece scoop. It is a great scoop but not for wet sand. Just to small. I have missed quite a few targets with my Excal II because of the water filling up my digs with sand before I can reach the target. I am really looking forward to this new scoop and I will follow up here and let you know how it works.

If that isn't working out for you let me know and we can see if we can do an exchange for you. You might need something a big heavier duty which we do have available for you.

The Stealth will serve you well if it's not TOO wide. I have the 720i hybrid and its a monster itself. I mostly use it when detecting with my dual field.

I was thinking the same thing...if a scoop held anymore wet sand than my 720 it would be HEAVY...with the 920 being so wide across the bottom, maybe it will drain super fast...I miss a target in the water by an inch to the side every now and then...the 920 would solve that...I thought the 720 would be the last scoop I ever bought...maybe not.

I bought the Kellyco Beach Brute Pro $225 dollars. This scoop has a sand capacity of a frontend loader. Many of my friends give me a hard time, but using a PI at the beach digging deep holes are made easy. It breaks into two parts and is long enough so my 6'4" body doesn't have to bend over to retrieve the target.

I forgot to mention that the I got the 920 I extreme hybrid with the slots in the rear. I still have not received it. I bought the 920 because it will just about cover with entire width of my Excal II 10 inch coil. I will post when I get it and let you know how well it is working for me. I am here in Jensen Beach the sand it fine with small shells and small rock. Most of the sand is replenished sand. IMG_2039.JPG

Lookingdown, I used the 90 degree 720i for 3 solid days around Christmas digging very deep clad (no gold unfortunately) and don't think my 240lb, fairly athletic, 44 year old frame could have handled a scoop any wider! It really made the first beer and bed feel good after a day of using it!

That is interestingly. I will provide feedback when I get it and let you know how my 62 year old 220 frame handles the load. lol I usually walk 4 to 7 miles on the beach when I'm out. That's wet, dry and water. I hope I'm up to the challenge.

The 8-10" deep targets were no problem. It was the very deep ones that were tiring. Did you get the 90 degree or the angled one? I have the 90 deg 720i and and angled Trex. I find the 720 easier to use once I am scooping down deeper than the basket length. (Approx 14")

for hunting coastline does not make sense to use a scoop larger than 8 "
7-8 " is enough and convenient to MD with 10" coil.
9 " besides scoop more weighs and less strength

IMHO

Your going to be very impressed with the workmanship on that Stealth. Its a thing of beauty! I have the 720i and love it. The 920i looks to be interesting but the 720i was such a hot seller I knew I couldn't go wrong. Loaded up its heavy, I typically drag the scoop out of the hole and tip it over to dump it. Looking forward to your review of the item.

I only use my 720 when Im hunting in the water...if Im hunting wet sand I use my RTG 6 inch aluminum...I used to use my RTG 6 in the water and when I started using the Stealth 720 my dig time was cut in half...The 720 is a piece of art and I love it.

It's great to have a large scoop, but at the end of the hunt (or in the middle), not sure you will have enought strenght till you have to go home. Especially in wet sand, my arms are killing me when I wake up next morning...

The stealth scoop looks great for sure, now a return on experience base on this huge volume will be appreciated.

I have started using a rifle sling on my scoop and carry it on my left shoulder unti I need it. I'm going to put one on the extreme too. I bought it at bass pro shops.

Just finished putting a rifle strap on the new scoop. I don't know why they don't sell straps with the scoop. It's a lot easier to carry. I will let you know about the scoop when I use it. Here is what I did with the strap. I used two stainless steel clamps.

I don't carry mine, I drag it behind me...in the water or out...almost effortless to drag.
