At long last my sand scoop finally got here, finished up buying one local. Don't know what breed it is, but here are a few pics of it. 2015-05-01 13.46.56.jpg 2015-05-01 13.47.17.jpg 2015-05-01 13.47.29.jpg It's nice and light at 2.5kg. I wanted to get a travel scoop, but this will sure do the job for a while. Now I have the Sand Shark, Viking digger, and the scoop. The rain has stopped for now, so looking forward to trying out my new 'toys'. Will keep you posted.

I already have quite a few magnets that I have taken out of old microwaves, reckon they will do the job nicely

Are the magnets from hard drives stronger than the average speaker?

Yes, hard drives have nickel plated neodymium magnets which are stronger then the typical ferrite magnet found in speakers etc. Rare earth magnets can sometimes be found at electronics suppliers or eBay etc in various shapes, but the free ones are in old HDDs. They are kinda flat and somewhat resemble a half moon.

Excellent, I need to get some for my new stealth scoop as well. I have some old speaker magnets in my old scoop but always want something stronger.
