Any of you guys have an Infinium that gets erratic when you get it under water.
I started having trouble with mine this year just when I submerge the box all the way.
Turns out the waterproof headphone wires were exposed, the connector on these are really
problematic but I had no idea this could happen. When I pulled back the strain relief you could really see how
bad it was. Thought this might help some of you thinking you have a detector problem. Reid

I tend to use a zip tie to keep the ends of both the coil/headphone cable still and free from moving.

I will have to check my connection out, took out the LS with the small coil a month ago and it did act crazy...seemed fine on land when I tested it before figured it might be the coil but now I will have to recheck Thanks..

Sounds like bad connection at controls if it only happens when controls go under water....

Yep, it happens and its darn near impossible to fix because of the way the connector is potted (assembled with a filler).
Unless you can obtain a new connector.
