I had no idea of what lead time would be involved between purchase and delivery of the Stealth 920ix scoop. When selecting the scoop from the options choices, I went heavy duty because I would be digging in heavy mud. Thus I expected it would not be an off the shelf scoop, but they'd have to make it for me to my specs.

I placed the order on 9/5/15

Notified yesterday 9/11/15 it was shipped and to expect UPS delivery 9/15/15

So, I would give Sunspot Tooling Systems an absolute A+ on fabrication and turnaround.

My experience with Sunspot and their products couldn't be better. I love their scoops and they stand behind their products post purchase. Can't ask for much more.

I love that scoop. I actually broke a weld, yea I'm that strong!!! They fixed it fast. I also have a t-Rex, which is a good scoop also. But when you need to take BIG bites, the Stealth is it.

Plymouth - Are you trying to dig into Plymouth Rock? They are made for sand, on what and how are you using it - very interested to hear how you are destroying them so quickly.

Stealth are far superior to anything on the market in my opinion. Design and durability are what make these scoops top notch. I was amazed at the size and quality of the wood handle provided with these. I had a nice RTG 6 inch scoop with a SS tip, and it worked well for the couple years I used it, but I had no idea how much better the stealth was until I got one for my B-day from my wife. I wouldn't trade mine for any other.
*I don't know how you could be breaking yours in a short period of time like that.
* I almost bought a T-rex once, but I researched a bit, and decided on the stealth as it has a honey comb hole design, which is stronger than say the T-rex that puts the squares in a straight line that does not stagger. Never had a T-rex, just pointing out the design differences.
* It is also nice that you can have a part in designing you own scoop!

You need to have a custom scoop made for prying.. one with a back bone support and less holes for weakening of the design.. . And made of 12g SS instead of the 14g

I don't have a lot of rocks, And I've used two scoops with close to 1500 hours in two years.. neither has had any issues.. Diablo Titanium and A Old Miller SS bucket scoop.

But on the bright side....... notice they welds held and the front didnt rip away. Is that handle broke as well or just not down all the way? Could you not notice it bending like that?
