Any one in Punta Gorda? new guy getting started

well title pretty much says it all
been in PG a couple years , have a 100 yr old home in historic area
just got my first metal detector and in a small area near pool found a dozen coins, nothing great

anyway I'm just looking to see if there are any others in area. maybe someone to learn about metal detecting
Also now the city manager well, a neighbor, and may be able to get access to city property. also my neighbors all have houses around the same era

Been here 2 yrs. haven't hunted much here. Going to hit the beaches this year & if I find any ole sites.

Prerequisite: Middle age guy, with a passion for beer, dirty jokes, and the understanding that digging a wheat cent is WAY better than finding one in your change.
