When someone has headphones on...

Do you think they can hear you when you try to talk to them? Do you try to talk to them? For some reason these headphones dont seem to stop people from talking to me...

I am generally also considered by most... "a people person"... which I am...
BUT...I like "my time"... and also ... like everyone generally.... enjoy my private time as well.

This is why I go when no one else is around.

I detect with my girl... every time I go... so I am not really even alone.
She goes one way...
I go another.

We carry talkies to com if need be.
Like...
She runs into a problem / person that might be a problem.

Many times I loose sight of her and she of me.

PS>... I will always take time out for a fellow detectorist... so IF you cross paths with me...
I will always take time for a chat.

Actually...although I use my headphones for screening out unwanted comments...I always talk to kids (and tell them I'm looking for treasure). Any curious people also get my attention.

What I screen out is the inebriated idiots saying something like..Hey...did you find my Rolex. I still smile at the last one I heard a few months ago. He got louder and louder the farther I got and from a 100 yards away he was yelling at the top of his lungs! Fortunately he was too drunk to follow after me.

Mine have Jell pads....... so for the most part i dont really hear them very clear without taking them off. BUT.... on the bright side, i use that as an excuse to tell KIDS...... sorry i cant hear you....... they normally just walk away lol. We should all learn sign language just to see the reaction.........
