Found my first Silver dollar, and silver cross.

Found these in wet sand. I was shocked to find a silver dollar especially at the beach. But it made for a great outing.
Only the edges seemed worn. Maybe someone's good luck piece.

I sounds more like, your good luck piece and someone elses bad luck piece...a silver dollar is still on my bucket list...Especially a nice fairly new one like this one and a silver cross too! Congrats on 2 very kool finds.

Great finds! That is actually what's referred to as a Silver Eagle, it's .999 fine silver bullion, one ounce. Too cool!

I still cant think of a reason a person would be carrying a silver dollar this days at a beach? lol ... gtz on finds! HH !

Yes, I was using the excal. But I think any of my machines would have screamed.

Thanks for the clarification. My first Silver Eagle. The Eagle was in great condition, only had two spots on it. I rubbed it with baking soda. The cross was almost black, but no cake. I used the foil / baking soda to clean it up. Thanks to everyone for chiming in. Good luck to everyone!
