So the MD season in Florida is ending for me and had to hit the surf one last time. Came away with a 24" Sterling necklace, only the second precious metal necklace I've discovered MDing in the past 7 yrs. Also uncovered 4 pairs of sunglasses; unfortunately, 3 were damaged by the scoop. Two junk earrings, a junk child's ring and clad kept me busy all day.

Savored my last day on the beach and enjoyed every minute. Boy will I miss the sand and surf.

Viewing the sunset from the condo every evening tops the day off of metal detecting Florida beaches. Can't wait till next fall...have to leave Ohio a little earlier.

one of the reasons to wear goggles or mask - if water is clear - you can see the glasses before scooping wrong
only ones I damage are ones really deep
