Steve & I hit a river water hole today. I found a whole lot of trash, a brass screw cap, and 4 quarters.

And this:

I guess I'll save it for Cyberdan!

Not a bad idea, to hunt the water when it's hot. Glad to see you've been swinging that Cadillac you own.

Apparently the heat index was 104 today. That river water was almost cold, took a bit to normalize in it.

I got caught in the fast current of the river at chin deep, so I had a bit of a scare there. The current was also carrying my scoop while I was reaching out with it trying to pull myself into shallower water, while I was constantly tip toe dancing trying to keep my head above water. I think next time I hit the water there I'll wear a CO2 charged flotation vest to stay safe. I have no idea how deep the water was I was being pulled into.

Carrying the Excal and the scoop didn't help at all.
