I started metal detecting about a year ago and I love it. I mostly hunt for civil war relics in the woods and fields. Im going to the beach next week and I'm a little unsure which settings to use. I'm using a T2+ with the boost program and a Mars Tiger coil with Jolly Rogers headphones, "if that even matters" what settings should i use on dry sand or wet? Thanks ahead of time for any advice.

Manual ground balance and swing away. You may have to lower it a bit manually.

In the wet sand, drop your sensitivity a bit - Don't touch the sand with your coil - and swing slower than you normally would. Forget the shallow water, you'll see what I mean if you try it. In the dry sand hunt as you normally would in dirt. Good Luck!:skullflag:

Thanks for all the advice I will give it a try. Hopefully I will be posting pics of my first gold ring this week. I've found 6 silver ones so far but no gold yet.
