Had another good treasure fleet find this morning. Only had an hour or 2 before the tide and wind drove me out, but managed this little bronze religous medallion. She's pretty wore out after 286 years in the sand, but there was enough left to make out st. Bendicti !! I can just see some poor castaway Spaniard clutching a rosary on a hurricane swept shoreline in 1733. One can imagine a hundred different ways it got in the sand and was lost, but today was finally its day of rescue...286 years later. Great little piece for the collection, and the first piece of jewelry in a long time.....I hope there's more to come. Thanks for looking and happy hunting out there !!

20190924_144859.jpg woo hoo got another little piece of decorative bronze. A little florette piece !! This makes a half dozen or so of these pieces all with the same floret style.

You mean Gary dickhead from Oak island? Ya, that's a LOL for sure........... I've forgot more than he knows.... but thanks anyway. I need to go visit Blak Bart!

Well I definitely respect the work and success that he's had. Hes treasure hunting full time and that's an accomplishment as well. He does have something that motivates and inspires me....that emerald encrusted treasure fleet ring !! I'm not rushing out to buy his books though. I bet even Gary would be impressed with OBNs 100 + gold ring season,or smokies gold coin. Every dog has its day and today could be the day billieg....good luck and happy hunting my friend !!

As far as finds goes on that stretch he has done well is all.

And I am not familiar with your knowledge(s).

Its was not his "skill" I am pointing at... HENCE... all the more reason to work that coast... merrily for the fact that IF HE can find it... So can you.

Well said ARC....determination and patience are key !!

View attachment 1755892 bronze floret strap keeper for horse tack......I have found a half dozen or more of these. It seems there were some very ornate and decorative horse bridles and tack being shipped back to spain. This one is broken and not complete. Another piece for the collection. Getting some spanish almost every time I go.....for the moment at least !!

I'm sure some good prayers were said over that piece. What a find!

Thanks tahomatom....yup....I can imagine someone washed up on the beach with only there faith to comfort them. Surviving the hurricane is only the beginning of the misery !!
