    Nokta Simplex Waterproof Metal Detector

I saw someone with the Nokta Simplex Waterproof detector and from a distance I thought it was an Equinox. The detector vibrates in the water in the handle when itís over a target. I was wondering if anyone has used one and their thoughts on it. The guy bought it for 300 in Turkey.

If you don't look for it you won't find it!! So get out there and dig it.

Slider66, I see you hunt along our Treasure Coast beaches. That being the case, were I you, I'd stick with the Minelabs you have. The SImplex is a single frequency machine and can't really compete with multi frequency machines in a saltwater environment.

Here is a review of the Simplex on the beach that you might find helpful:

I mostly use my Excalís and have a nox 800. I was overseas when I saw the Simplex. I liked the portability with it. I always travel with two Excals and my nox. I was just curious about it and for the price of 300 it looked like it was rugged and well made.
