So here we are, 132 years later and we're debating the details of a story, that as everyone knows by now, weren't even possible as presented within the period described. 132 years. Stop and consider that for a moment, this is how long folks have been trying to discover an alternate truth within an original tale that couldn't possibly be true right from the very start. But the question is, how can one discover the truth within when there is no known truth within the original statements themselves? Pretty obvious is the answer, and yet, folks still keep looking and discovering.

A while back I asked the question; “how can truth be discovered from complete unknowns?” And to this I got no replies because everyone knows that you can't find hidden truth within, and/or from, complete unknowns. So what is everyone looking for if they stand no chance of finding truth within all of the existing complete unknowns?

The answer to this is pretty simple, they're looking for a different story. The only way this isn't true is when we have some knowns to work from within the original source, which as of yet, has never been discovered within the Beale narration details. So before folks can look for that possible alternate truth then they must first discover some facts, some measure of provenance, within the original source material's details to work from. Otherwise we're just looking for a different story to build upon. We're simply creating an alternate reality.:icon_thumright:

We're simply creating an alternate reality.
...and when those speculative "alternate realities" presented as "fact" are questioned for provenance, evidence, fact, or documentation, instead of providing even minimal information, the one who presented the question is either insulted or told to depart from the discussion...
...and the question is totally ignored by this ploy, and "finding truth" is pushed aside in favor of imaginative fantasies.
So the real question that needs to be addressed:
Are we really attempting to discover the "truth" behind the Beale Papers story, or only creating new and perpetuating old myths to keep this legend alive?
