Anzoletta Saunders is NOT mentioned by name, only as "niece", as well as the "chosen agent", Ward, is alluded to, BUT NOT mentioned by name.

Actually the newspaper says "At the home of his niece, Mrs. David Saunders. The only niece, Mrs. David Saunders had to be Anzoletta. So it is not alluded to as you claim.

In the BEALE PAPERS dime novel pamphlet, ANZOLETTA SAUNDERS (MRS DAVID SAUNDERS) is NOT mentioned by name.

It's like the old question, "Which came first the chicken or the egg"? Did Sherman first get the Beale Papers then start writing the "Dime store Novels" or "Vice versa"? ...
This would tell me if someone else other the Sherman or Ward wrote it.

In the Beale Papers narrative, after the "unknown author" received the story, letters, ciphers and receipts in the iron box, tried to solve the ciphers for 20 years without success, then hand wrote a manuscript which he gave to James Beverly Ward to act as "agent" for copyright and to publish.(Not the iron box and original letters or the cipher sheets)
James Beverly Ward allegedly gave this handwritten manuscript to John William Sherman for printing at the VIRGINIA PRINT SHOP.
So the real question is this: Was there ever an "unknown author" who received the story, iron box, letters and cipher sheets from Robert Morris?
Keep in mind, the entire Beale story is based on the hearsay account by this alleged "unknown author".

Here is what I think, that is if the story is true. N.H. Hazelwood worked as head accounting clerk for the railroad out of the Lynchburg, Virginia Depot. Anyone that is good with ciphers would be an accounting or payroll clerk. The railroad's main headquarters was in Lynchburg, Virginia. Around 1882 or 1883 the railroad moved it's headquarters to Roanoke, Virginia-----where it is today.

In Lynchburg, Virginia, Charles Bell Ward, James Beverly Ward's oldest son worked at the Depot. Also, James Beverly Ward and N.H. Hazelwood at one time had to meet as both were accounting or payroll clerk's and both attended the masonic meetings in Lynchburg. I believe as N.H. Hazelwood was getting older and he had to leave Lynchburg, Va. for Roanoke, Virginia, he passed the manuscript into James Beverly Ward's hands. For two years, N.H. Hazelwood rented an apartment in Roanoke, Virginia as did Clayton and George Hart. N.H. Hazelwood stayed at the Stratford Hotel . I have the addresses of the two Hart Brothers but do not want to look it up right now. There was another clerk that stayed at the Stratford Hotel with N. H. Hazelwood. After Hazelwood's death, this clerk and his wife moved in with Clayton Hart and his wife and lived together for years. Before N.H. Hazelwood passed away he purchased a house in Montvale, Virginia half-way between Lynchburg and Roanoke and where later when Clayton Hart copied the sheets of ciphers, Hazelwood told him the treasure was near where he purchased his home at Buford's Station. He paid for the house in payments of gold.

George Hart told Pauline Innis that the iron box was in Roanoke, Virginia at the home of an Otey. Clayton Hart's wife was an Otey. James Beverly Ward that ended up with manuscript had a wife that was an Otey. So it seems they kept it within the family. Clayton Hart later purchased the property of N.H. Hazelwood from his son Frank Hazelwood. There is a Frank Otey Smith that taught history in Bedford County and he knew a lot about the treasure. The Otey Family and the Luck Families in North Goose Creek knew about the Beale Treasure for almost one hundred years before Pauline Innis published her story in August 1964 Argosy Magazine. I talked with James Luck's father as he was a Ranger at the Peak's of Otter even when he was ninety some odd years old.

Is James Luck's Ranger father the source of the Thomas Read Massacre by Sheriff Otey and the Lucks that was once considered the basis of the BEALE PAPERS story?

So now I question why copy write the Beale Papers? Was J.B. Ward older then Sherman?

treasure, you're going in circles, careful you don't get dizzy. And it's "copyright"... "copy write" has a whole different meaning.

No that came from a meeting on Porter's Mountain. We had the newspaper writers and television stations up there for the meeting. We talked to the Ranger's son which was Jimmy Luck and his first cousin the history teacher, Frank Otey Smith. They both confirmed the story as I told it here on the forum. They both hesitated and we had never consulted either one prior to this meeting. They both said yes the story was true that the man's name was actually Thomas Read. But then they said but only the family knew this and they wanted to know where we got our information. We told them we found it in the court records at the Bedford County Courthouse.

Don't worry about me Carl-NC, I know what I am doing...but how about you, are you going to interject into the whole Beale theory or are you just gonna play grammar police?

The o.p. will surely provide names of these fake producers and copyrights they have infringed upon "soon" in yet another beguiling post.
Out of concern for Beale secret keepers.
Secret fake producers secretly infringe the secret copyrights of the secret keepers of the Beale secrets.

Fake experts, seems to be what I see! How can you be an expert in something you don't want to believe?

Experts are those that know Real from Fake by being Objective and looking for Facts that lead either way.

Wanting something to be what it Isn't has nothing to do with anything.

A group of people calling themselves producers stealing your secrets about the Beale Ciphers.
Local authorities looking for people involved in a scam to rob Beale Experts of the most secret information.
They say information from one of the scammers will lead to conviction.
Who are these most heinous scammers posing as producers, and whose Beale Cipher secrets are they attempting to steal?
What is the locality of these "local authorities" that are involved in looking for these evil robbing scammers?
In your opinion, can these "local authorities" keep these Beale Experts safe from these robber posing producers Beale Cipher secret stealing scammers?

Well on BBN... they did say that a cattleman caught sight of a suspicious, smaller than average white male with brown hair wearing a green hoodie lurking around a pasture in Virginia. They did approach him but he took off on a three wheeled bike. There is a DBOLO out now. No confirmation if this incident is related to any scammers.
