Awesome gold find, over $650 worth! Ever consider melting down the gold and having some jewelry made for you and Bobbie? It is expensive but much cheaper than buying jewelry. HH, Mike

thanks all, treasuretales it will go to the safety deposit box for now, since we just sold a few ounces couple of weeks ago, Bobbie likes to do things in a big way, and she sure made a big chunk of it up with one piece. I figured it would come to her eventually, last April she found a silver chain that weighed 70+ grams. She truly is the queen of bling. Mike we are going to use some of the stones that we saved from selling some previous gold, to make her a custom piece someday. It was back to work today but 4 more days and we will be detecting again

Bet the chain belonged to the local "dealer". Kids don't wear that kind of stuff to school.

WTG.... ;D Aren't these huge chains fun to find? It's really a super find when you consider it was found on dry ground and not at a beach where most of them are lost.

Thanks all I was really surprised to see this here yesterday. Rocky Red Baron, Bobbie found it behind a swing just under the mulch at a tot lot that we hit 3-4 times a year as part of that areas weekend road trip. Like I had previously mentioned bobbie was so shocked that she found it. It truly has been the trophy piece of a terrific year thus far
