    My guess would be that if there is a dried up pond, it very likely could have been a place where people came to swim, bathe, and/or wash clothing. In any of these cases clothing would have been removed andhung from a branch. This may have lead to the lost coins. I always try to locate the old swimming hole. Many times there are good things waiting. I think you have proved that! WTG!!

    No joke, I had a dream on Saturday night about finding 8 LCs in one spot. How weird is that

    Great digs guys! More than likely a kids play area (swimming-frog giggin' etc.)If it were from adults there would probably be more larger denomination coins especially if from men on horses.Those things are so big that if an adult had a bunch of them they would lighten their pockets by cashing them in for a nickle or dime same as we do today when we accumulate too many pennies,only today they just get hoarded up in a big jug till there's enough to cash them in.Great finds anyway and congrats on making the best of T'NET!!!
