I don't collect cobalt blue bottles, but picked this bottle up in a thrift store a few months ago.

I know you collectors have more blue bottles than we've seen so far.

Here's another from my shelf:

It's a little rough on top but the right color. Needs to be repaired. DD.

I didn't know old bottles could be repaired. How do they do it?

Jim . . . I don't recall ever seeing a cobalt bottle from Paterson.

Nice medicine bottles, 'Road Dog'!

Here are a couple of machine-made bottles that I kept 'cause I recovered 'em. They both have valve marks on the bases.

Harry,
Here are a few cobalt, mostly orientals, all dug up in Hawaii. Too bad that I can't take pictures of bottles like you do. Aloha

Most of my cobalt blue bottles are unfortunately wrapped up and stored for safe keeping. Because most of my digging has been done in Hawaii, the vast majority of these bottles are small Chinese and Japanese meds and hair dyes - pretty much the same stuff COL Ken posted. I also have one of those Lactopeptine bottles, but mine is so sick it looks like milk glass!

I do have a few recent finds sitting on my desk at work - just to keep me motivated. I snapped a shot of the "cobalt cluster" with my cell phone just for fun. Nothing particularly rare here, but it gives me an excuse to push the blue bottles back to the top of the forum!

Here's another from my shelf. This Acker's English Remedy is more "cornflower blue" than some bottles we've seen here. I assume that this lighter, more-transparent blue is produced by using less cobalt in the glass batch.
