Colorado bottles 2013 ,#2 : updated pic's

Good morning to all, this is in todays finds as well . My brother(god bless him) showed up on my door again ,took me out for our 2nd bottle hunt. Needless to say we got quantity & quality this time. had a GREAT day I got 3 Creeker's , he got an applied top torpedo bottle (we dont find these very often up here) plus he got a very rare hobnail ink well, that is embossed "The Denver furniture & carpet co " neither of us has ever found one of these, plus we each got a pile of bottles as well. beautiful day (cool) a falcon was checking us out all day while it was chasin ground squirrles. Anyway 2013 is sure starting out with a bang, 2 hunts = 6 Creekers and 1 Denver 8-). Cant wait till he shows up again ! keep your shovles dirty !

Hey Charlie,

Please thank your brother for me, too. He can show up at my door, anytime, for a bit of digging.

I wanna see that cleaned up ink, please. Will you show up at his door with camera in hand, one of these days soon, please...

"The golden Cycle Mill located on 21st Street across from The Roundhouse and Ghost Town Museum, in Colorado Springs. This once very active mill once processed much of the ore from the Cripple Creek and Victor Mining district. Incorporated in 1885 as the Golden Cycle Mining Corporation, the mill ran consistently with the exception of a fire in 1907, but resumed operation in 1908 after being rebuilt. In 1949 the mill was shut down and later dismantled, but through its many years of operation, it treated 13,564,982 ton of gold ore from the Cripple Creek district, and 794,280 tons from other areas in Colorado. This is one “Ghost” that is gone forever, but you can still see the tall smoke stack and tailings pile from both 21st street and Highway 24 in Colorado Springs." Peachridge Glass

Charlie, that ink looks super nice. I knew it would be a beauty once it was cleaned. Do you think its a one of a kind?

Hello Charlie,

Thanks for the sparkling clean photos of the hobnail ink. That is a gorgeous hunk-o-glass! I bet you could have some great macro-photography fun with that guy.

I also gotta say that that Ed. Pinaud is one of the fancier ones that I have seen. I wonder if it cleaned up as well...
Ed & I like em.

Hey Charlie,

I sure can identify with that phenomenon. 8-)

It doesn't happen often around here, but when it does, it's always a unique find.

This is the last one I "lost."
