I recently purchased this Saratoga. It's embossed Clarke & White New York, and it is very dark olive glass with tons of little bubbles. The top is applied. There are a few little flakes on the top but otherwise it's in perfect condition. It's hard to get good pics of it, but I'll take some natural light ones tomorrow. I've read about Clarke & White, and I'm thinking the age is about 1855-1865. I know many Clarke & Whites are pretty common. Any ideas on approximate value? Thanks!

Howdy bhofcc,

I'm looking forward to seeing your new bottle. There is some kinda temporary Computer Curse going on TNet-wide, that is affecting Photo attachments, so take your time and give it the full tilt Cinerama treatment. Your link didn't go there.

There are other ways of photo illustrating your posts.

This lithograph was put out by Clarke & White in 1854:

That's a cool link Surf, and a neat lithograph too. I'm not sure I would be too keen on drinking water from the spring, but if back then they thought it was going to help them then I guess they'd do anything.

Very nice! I found a Lynch and Clark in Savannah Ga years ago. It was from around 1810.

I do not think there is really anything "common" about this bottle it is over 150 years old and is in extremely good condition, it can probably fetch $50-$60/$70. Nice find and good eye.

Thanks everyone, Vik I think you might be overestimating the value but it is nice nonetheless.
