We had more than our fair share of rain in the past week. This made the bottom of the pit like a thick chocolate shake. I spent three or four hours going up and down the ladder emptying about 30 buckets of dirt. Findings were slim and most everything i took shots of at first was broken. I did bring home 2 pieces and the photos will tell the story.

Not sure if this broken drake's is part of the one from last week or a different one.

Thanks guys. Jim, i like the ale as well. Its not like the others i've found. The base edges are thin and the bottle will rock when you set it down because the bottom is not even.

The top pieces of the ale are smooth. Below the 3pc seam lines, the lower part of the bottle has all kinds of swirls in the glass. I will try to get some pictures in natural daylight. Headed back this morning to move dirt out of the hole. I am sore as heck

Hit bottom today and for the first time did not bring home any keepers. From this point on i will be working the sides and letting all that dirt fall back in to stay. The final measurement was 14 feet. Here's me at the bottom.

I'm not done with the hole yet but i'm already feeling signs of depression. It is a sickness alright.

Thanks Chitlin. Its nearing the end of my digging season unless i can find another privy(very unlikely) in the next couple of weeks. So i guess it will be everyone else's turn to post there finds while i sit on the sidelines waiting for a chance to get back in the game.
