Just realized I deleted my post so here goes again. We went out bottle hunting with our friend Donnie yesterday who along with his darling wife Julia(who could not go yesterday) is one of the premier old( not age old, experience old,heh heh) bottle hunters here in Nashville. I dug a nice cobalt Bromo Seltzer,a weird boot shaped object Donnie said looked like bone, tons of pretty China and porcelain bits. I also dug what I thought was a golf ball but it was China and has a hole in the bottom(maybe a finial for a lamp?) The mister dug a big strap side Wyeth Bros Philadelphia probably used for liquor as well as two porcelain doorknobs,a bone toothbrush, and other little bottles. If I didn't have he bug before I do now!

Hey CoilyGirl, nice outing. I can't think of a better way to spend the day than getting into a 100 year old privy. Nice post and glad to see you finally got into some good stuff. Yep, you will definitely have the bug now.

You go girl. What an awesome dig for your first bottle hunt, next thing you know you will be throwing a scuba tank on your back and jumping in the lakes and streams around Nashville to bring up all sorts of interesting goodies.

Nancy....just now saw your post. I really enjoyed going with you and Steve as you both were eager to learn. I went by there yesterday and nothing has changed. Just like we left it but it won't be long until they will be working there and hauling the dirt off. We need to go back over there soon.

Very nice dig Coily, Looks like ya got a door handle there too. It would most definitely not be proper to not find the pooper handle! I have several dozen. Get back out there and hammer some Pontils! Goodluck, jgas
