What is it?

Hi guys, this is my mothers she received it from her mother. She asked me if I knew anything about it. I have no clue. It looks like the handle was applied. Is it a bottle? A vase(with a handle?)? Experts please help! thanks for looking!!

I think it's a vase with an exaggerated mouth.

That's what i was thinking but the handle is throwing me off. Would it just be a decorative handle?

A handle is both functional and decorative, as in this pitcher-like vase of crackle glass:

Harry, you could absolutely be right on. I just didnt want to close the door on this one if somebody knew for sure.

It is a rather strange looking piece. The mouth doesn't have a groove for pouring so I don't think it was meant to be used as a pitcher. My best guess is a vase

It is strange looking almost looks like someone put an ashtray on a pitcher. Maybe made by a chain smoker..lol
