Wilbur E. Lewis operated a drug store from 1880 to 1889. He founded "Acme Bottling Works" in Stamford, Conn. He left it in 1890 to establish "Eagle Bottling Works" in Glenbrook. (from Images of America, Stamford, by Bonnie K. Bull).

Need some help with this Acme Bottling works Stamford Conn.
I found it while digging in So Cal many years ago and I have never been able to find anything on it.
Hoping someone knows something about it. It stands 9 3/4 inches.
Thanks Larry

Wonder how it got all the way out there!!! His bottles turn up around here with some regularity. I collect Stamford bottles but already have this one. It's a cool find!

Also someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that style of bottle to be St. Louis Weiss Beer.

things have always moved around, unusual perhaps but not unheard of...it would only take a train about 3-4 days to get out here with a load of anything or anyone carrying anything.
