I know it's been a long time since I've posted anything. I hope everyone is well. I was going to do a post on some 1890s bottles I found at work last week but the ink hole gave up some jewels today, and I can't believe it! Today is the first day I have been able to dig in months. But holy crap this river bank finally gave up a historical flask I can't believe it. This is a first for me. After a few years of digging countless broken flasks a complete one came out. A beautiful half pint Washington Jackson flask ! Definitely my best find in years. I also recovered a really nice green unembossed pony soda and a 1826 large cent in pretty decent shape. also I found an oval med with a sunken panel. I usually don't take these but I have never seen one in Flint glass. Oh man it feels good to be back out digging. Thanks for looking - Justin

I know it's so weird. Lol . I wasn't expecting to find anything down there but the ash never ends . You just might be a good luck charm. Or a spirit wants me to find everything down there.

What a feeling that had to have been when you pulled that flask out. Beautiful!

Justin, your efforts have finally paid off. Those are some great recoveries! The flask is fantastic ! What an awesome feeling it must have been when you pulled that one out. Love the color in your pony, and I'm sorry it wasn't embossed. So, the ole ink hole has finally given up some more good stuff. Congratulations and please go back. Great score on the LC as well. Always great to get a coin as icing on the cake. [emoji106]

Holy crap indeed, that's awesome! Nice LC too, be sure to eyeball your old tailings (or what is left behind by the river if that is the case) every now and again for coins/smalls exposed by rain/water. It would be awesome if you got some old draped silver outta there. May the gems keep flowing from that dump!

Thank you bass I still can't believe this flask came out hole . I figured with all the flask shards there had to be one in there somewhere. Now I'm just trying to figure out what the mckearin number is. I have a feeling it was blown at the Coventry glass works.

Thank you this is the first large cent I've have found with out a metal detector. The only other coins I've dug out of this dump was a 1853 o seated quarter and a few Indian head Pennies. I'm planning on sifting through all my piles eventually.

Thank you it's taken me four years to finally dig up one of these flasks. I know nothing about value but the color and form makes me think it's from Coventry CT.

Right you are, brother. It's a GI-34 which indeed is listed as being blown at Coventry. What a great find, man.
