English mallet bottle ?

I have a chance to pick up this bottle for a bout $10 I was wondering if I got the identification correct any advice would be helpful I believe it to be a English mallet mid-1700s

Any idea if it's a whiskey bottle or a wine bottle and any idea of the value thank you for your response

Looks like wine, could be a little earlier than 1875

Looks like you did great with the bottles you did purchase, the black glass bottle (I generally consider them beers but coulda held many beverages) doesn't look special to me, and as Bass stated it's a mid or later 19th century piece.
