I went to a huge old dump site without digging and found this milk bottle. All i know is that there is bottles that date back to the 40s and 50s. Not sure how old this bottle is but it's not old because it says "keep refrigerated" any input would be nice. Hoping this dump has old stuff.
That would be a keeper for me . The deeper you dig the more likely you will find the older stuff .You never know what might be there until you look .If I found that I would be back as soon as I could to find more
I too found one of these just laying on the ground. Some distance from a road and along a long removed electric trolley. Nothing remaining except the bed. Did some hiker use it for a water bottle? or did some animal dig it up? If the latter, I best get back there and look around more.
un embossed milks not very collectible I have dug in 1950s dumps and found there are not to productive . and as far as digging deeper ,and getting older ,that is not always the case .
I found these two within inches or each other about 6 inches down .Several weeks later I found the green/black bottle about 6 feet from the milk bottles and another foot deeper. It is hard to say what you might find but sometimes you find Christmas in July
Keep looking .If it is a large site make a plan as to how you want to dig . I sometimes get carried away with what I am finding that I just dig at random .Than as things slow down I created myself a mess by not digging in an orderly manner
