Sandchip is right, we should step up the rate of posts. So, here's a thread dealing with a category of antique bottles that doesn't get much attention from us manly diggers: perfume/cologne bottles. Show us yours.
Those are great, Harry although you were more than welcome to put it on my thread. That's what I started it for. I don't have any perfumes, but I always wanted one of the early colored pieces like the sunburst or seahorse types.
I would put some up here but all of my bottles are packed away in the attic. We sold our house we lived in for many years and moved to a bigger city. We are now momentarily renting so I don’t have access to my collection. Keep these posts going!
C'mon, Bass, don't tease us like that! Find 'em and photograph 'em! Then, please tell us what the embossing on the bottles says -- I can't make out "cologne" in the existing image from Rusty.
Here is one I dug a couple weeks ago. Pretty cool monogram. Not sure if it’s all too common or what but I thought I best hold on to it. Regards. Jgas
Chicago, my home town. Who would guess someone made perfume there. From my youth, all I remember was the stockyards aroma when the wind was just right.
