I believe you should keep your eyes open for other opportunities.

Sorry for your loss - that sucks, and not well!

I bought an Ace 250, used it once for several hours. Put it back and brought out my "obsolete" 30 year old Fisher 1260X and gave the Ace to my brother. The 30 year old Fisher blew the Ace away.

If you want to spend $212 for a new Ace 250, I'd suggest looking at the Land Ranger Pro for the extra $20. Better everything, IMO.

Between the Ace 250 and the Silver, get the Silver. I could listen to the Silvers one tone all day, compared to the "will somebody just answer the door!" bong-bong of the Ace.

I never had a issue with my ACE350. Was a coin finding machine! Does it have a lot of bells and whistles??? Heck no! But does it work??? Yes. This hobby as you know is so subjective that no answer is right and no answer wrong when it comes to opinions on what to buy. Good luck and hope what ever you replace it with it makes you happy and gives great results.

Sorry to hear that someone stole your detector. I agree that a good option would be to just buy another Compadre .
