navy button and cival war button?

the larger button was a two piece but the back part is missing, is it cival war era? the navy button condition(at least on the front is outstanding) however the back is corroded enough that you can't tell anything. I think that it is pre 1850 but I'm not sure. It sure looks like gold and it came out of the ground like that.

First Button: No idea... not like any "US" Navy button I've seen - may well be a sport button/non-military. Still looking. Check out the Navy Buttons here - http://www.thetreasuredepot.com/cayenna/index.html


Second Button: Yes... It could well be CW era eagle button... without a reference to backmark, other items found around it or a known battle area, the chances are 50-50 it was CW.
