Surface find, actually! Found while metal detecting a yard next to an 1880 house. I can find pictures of it online, but no good information (I hate Etsy and Pinterest! Together they have ruined Google's image search!) Can anyone help me identify this? One of the Etsy users did say that it was a Utah Territorial button, but provided no proof or evidence of same, so I take that with a huge grain of salt.

I think it is a military type school in Wisconsin, civil war era. I have found those at mustering sites in WI.

Wisconsin? Wow... that's interesting, indeed. Found it in Minnesota. What makes you think Wisconsin? Isn't that the Utah beehive logo?

After a little googling forget what I said.

I think the ones we found were a little different. I'm going to see if I still have them.
