Wish I could be of help giving a date for your button, but I can't. Very nice button. Using the SWAG method I would guess possibly from the War of 1812? Best of luck on the ID. Someone will chime in that knows for sure.

I may have just stumbled across your Naval Button. I went to Naval buttons from the War of 1812. On Ebay they have a pic. of your button identified as a Naval Officers button from the War of 1812. Great find, and Congrat's to you on a nice piece of saved History.
